We’re Araceli and Demetra, two low-key, life loving, interior designing, health-obsessed, travel junkie mamas who scour the globe for goods for your little nomads’ everyday adventures.

We live on opposite sides of the globe (Demetra in Los Angeles, Araceli in Morocco) but motherhood brought us closer than geography ever could. We had our first children within four weeks of each other. Even as new mamas, we were known to pack up our kid and head off, often hand-in-hand with our husbands, across the globe in a heartbeat.

On our travels we’d find the occasional one-off baby clothing and accessories in souk or market. We both love babywear rooted in the traditions and spirit of PLACE. We’d snatch up unique pieces along the way that were effortless and whimisical – we loved them, our kids loved them – and everyone raved about them.

We love our tribe, and we know the vibe our mama friends are looking for.

We’re two women bound together by love, our adventures in mommyhood, adoration of all things beautiful, our devotion to our families, healthy living, our global outlook and our connection with the natural world.

We set out to create a line of authentic textile-y goods that would fit seamlessly into the lives of free-spirited mamas in our tribe. Inspired by ethnic flourishes (like weaves, embellishment and embroidery patterns) across the globe – from the far to the near East and beyond – made in different cities all over the world.

Araceli Valdes de McElroy was born in Colorado and spent her youth in her native Mexico. She returned to the US in her late teens, settling in Los Angeles where her love of design and interiors began. After a year as a producer on the Travel Channel, which brought her to all four corners of the world, Araceli branched out from television into homes and interiors. Araceli is currently based in Morocco with her husband, who is British. Araceli gave birth to their first son Santiago in 2015 and twin boys Constantine and Rafael in late 2016. Araceli dedicates her life to her boys, work, and bringing more to the mommy market.

Demetra Chazanas is a San Diego native, but now calls Los Angeles home. Her background is Greek and English/Irish. She studied at the University of Arizona, Milan’s Universita Cattolica and UCLA, her studies garnered her degrees in Communications, Pre-law and Italian Literature and exposed her to both international design and architecture. Demetra has been a practicing Interior Design since 2010. After giving birth to her daughter, Valentina Grace in 2015 Demetra became interested and immersed in all that was the mommy world. Demetra is devoted to her family, work, and sharing her ideas and creations in the mommy world.
